Recent Collaborations and Publicity
Work has been exceptionally varied and interesting this year. So here’s a few things to keep you updated.
Shortridge Hall
The largest commission of the year has undoubtedly been the huge entrance of
Shortridge Hall.
This was a 10 week multi faceted body of work incorporating designing all the bespoke colours and executing all the paint effects within it.
I imported a 4 man prep team to help and had a 3 lift scaffold erected to enable me to reach all areas of the entrance hall, such was the scale of the commission. I have written 3 blogs to cover all the work done.

Ledbury Studio Collaborations
My portfolio of work commissioned by Ledbury Studio is growing ever larger.
This includes bespoke paint effects on kitchen cupboards, bespoke colour design and Verre Eglomise splashback panels.
I have recently allocated a whole section on my website to the Ledbury Studio
commissions.

Podcast
I was invited by KBB Review to discuss my work on their podcast.
I really enjoyed chatting to Andy Davies, the host, my paint effects, commissions and occasional disasters!

A New Challenge For 2022!
I’ve bought a narrow boat!
I think we’ve all had a bit of a life review throughout this pandemic.
Mine has been to take on interesting challenges that will enhance my life, yet still keep within the parameters of my work.
This special little boat was built in 1971, 50 years ago by David Piper, the 12th one he made.
She still has the original single cylinder engine.
My challenge is to honour her history and integrity and fully re6t and repaint, including the exterior back to her original 70’s styling ( with a few contemporary design twists thrown in) I aim to have her completed by March.
You will be able to follow my progress, forwards or backwards! on Instagram.
2019 – 2020
Recent Commissions
The wall effect in a beautiful historical residence. 3 coats of dry applied paint in soft yellow ochres, all bespoke and hand mixed, create a warm and subtle wall effect which is so effectively attuned to the architectural structure of the room.
Recent Commissions
The brief for this commission was to mix historically accurate and sympathetic colours in softly aged paint effects. Creating warmth and depth to the evening room of this Victorian Hall.
The time lapse shows how the wall effect was achieved using a specialist primer to ensure adhesion and longevity of paint finish.

Recent Collaborations
I used the specialised decorative art of Verre Eglomise in the form of a splashback for Ledbury Studio.
As every square inch of this remarkable effect is unique and bespoke, the possibilities for this durable decoration in bathrooms, spa’s and kitchen are endless.
I work precisely with the client’s specifications to design each panel.
Publicity
Along with various magazine name checks and the obvious social media, there have been a few areas of interest recently.
KBB Review – All about my love of colour, paint effects, colour trends and ideas.
KandB Magazine – All about hand painting, new products and client samples.
