Narrow Escapes – Series 1

UPCOMING TV

Series 2 of Narrow Escapes airs on C4 early May 2025. Exact dates are not confirmed yet, but I do know I’m in week 2 for that whole week.

We filmed a lot of my adventures for Series 2, also there’s another ‘something’ I instigated and has also been filmed for Series 2. I can’t tell you what it is, but I promise you it will be hilarious and worth watching.

I should be able to sneak peek you after the Launch Party in mid April, so watch this space.

Series 1 was 20×1 hour episodes, whereas Series 2 is 25×1 hour episodes, it’s growing!

The reason it’s growing is because of the immense popularity and viewing figures for Series 1 that were outstanding.

By the end of the first week’s viewing, we were second only to Gogglebox which has on average, over 2 million viewers per programme. Series 1 continued to out perform any daytime C4 programme until Narrow Escapes was actually featured on Gogglebox itself, which saw viewing figures increase exponentially. Then the whole of Series 1was repeated 6 months later. Apparently Channel 4 couldn’t wait for Series 2 to come out!

Series 2 features a whole new cast, with only 5 people returning from Series 1, myself being one of them.

Chatting to the series producer, Series 2 sounds even more entertaining to watch.

NEW BOOK COMING SOON!

Feedback from my upcoming book ‘Barely Afloat, Mostly Adrift, Always Laughing’ has been pretty overwhelming to be honest.

It has taken me over 2 years to write as I stumbled over the really heartfelt and personal stuff and only finished writing it a couple of weeks ago.

The day I finished it, I thought bugger it, don’t overthink it, just fire the manuscript out to a publisher. 3 hours after that, I’m having a chat with the publisher in chief on the phone about Barely Afloat, another 2 hours after that and I had the full contract ready to sign on email.

‘Barely Afloat, Mostly Adrift, Always Laughing’ will be available for pre-order from mid April 2025, and in Waterstones from May 2025, price £12.50

How mental is that? No one gets a publishing deal that quickly, especially if they’ve never written a book before. It’s a bit of a nail biter to be honest as it gives a lot away, and not just about the behind scenes and filming either.
